Remember

When I was in 1st grade, my aunt let me borrow her Michael Jackson Dangerous album on cassette tape.
My mom helped me make a copy onto a blank TDK cassette tape. 
But because the copied version would have certain songs cut off in the middle due to the changing sides while recording, I just listened to my aunts tape. Religiously.
Now that I think about it, I don't think I ever gave it back to her-- even though my mom told me to. Sorry Aunt M.

New Electro Mix: All Fours On The Floor

Some may cringe at the thought of "Techno", but not me.
As much as I like mixing Hip Hop/R&B, I like some of that Electro/House "four-to-the-floor" bass kick goodness--it's like a fetish.
At Hollywood clubs around 1AM, the DJ starts dropping the 128BPM+ tracks that make you feel like you're at some Euro club where everyone does the Tecktonik.

Rhianna, not Rihanna

I've recently discovered Rhianna.

I came across the song, "I Love Every Little Thing About You" by Rhianna.
And was like, Whoa! this is a side of Rihanna I've never heard before. Something about the simpleness of her voice is just lovely--kinda like sunshine.
Anyway so I'm like trying to figure out why this song sounds so familiar. Then it hits me.. it's a cover of Stevie Wonder's song of the same name.

So I'm listening to the song(s) on repeat. Even burned it onto CD so I can listen in the car. Rhianna, Stevie, back to back.
Then just randomly, I'm staring at Rhianna's name through iTunes, wondering if my slight sense of (unofficially diagnosed) dyslexia has gotten the worst of me.
"Self, I didn't know 'Rhianna' was spelled that way"

Then, after consulting with Wikipedia, Rhianna is NOT Rihanna. What tongue twister... sort of. Well not really.
So it turns out that Rhianna is a singer from the UK now under the name Fleurona. I dig her.
